At Nibbl, your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account (email address, name), as well as content you add to the application (food items, pantry data). We also collect limited usage data to improve the service.
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Nibbl service; to personalise your experience; to communicate with you about your account; and to ensure the security of the application.
Your data is stored securely using Appwrite cloud infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Nibbl uses Spoonacular to provide recipe suggestions. When you use this feature, ingredient names from your pantry are sent to Spoonacular's API. No personal account information is shared. Please review Spoonacular's privacy policy for details on their data handling.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as necessary to provide our services or as required by law. We may share aggregated, anonymised data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience. You can control cookie settings through your browser. We may use anonymised analytics to understand how users interact with the app and to improve its performance.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data; the right to restrict or object to processing; and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Nibbl is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child without parental consent, we will promptly delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of Nibbl after changes are posted indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
Your data, your control
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. We will process your request within 30 days.
